La Casona’s 10 guest rooms are situated in the restored colonial main house and are furnished in a rustic elegance to reflect that era. Rear doors of the guest rooms open out on to a wraparound terrace which faces gardens brimming with flowers on one side, and the sloping vineyards on the other. The main house also features a welcoming guest lounge with fireplace and pool table, whilst a short stroll through the gardens leads you to El Equilibro restaurant, and in another secluded area, the swimming pool with shaded day-beds and loungers with a back-drop of rolling vines.
Part of the draw of a stay at La Casona is to completely unwind in such a tranquil setting. However there are a number of optional excursions that can be arranged, designed to showcase the picturesque surroundings of the Rosario Valley. A wine tour is essential, to learn about (and of course sample) some of the award-winning wines produced here. La Casona also has a team of expert guides who can lead you on a variety of trails – either on foot, by bike or on horse-back – through some of the most picturesque areas of the 9000 hectare valley.
