Victoria House, the plantation style award-winning resort on the tropical island of Ambergris Caye, Belize has just announced the opening of their new full service spa and fitness centre. The iconic romantic retreat, whose offering is consistently in-demand as a wellness and relaxation destination, now features a 3,500 sq. ft new facility. Styled in a Caribbean colonial theme, the new building is set amongst the thriving resort’s trademark coconut palms and bougainvillea, creating a sanctuary for relaxation, inspiration and indulgence.
The centrepiece of the new spa is a 26ft high central Cupola with 11ft high ceilings, hardwood floors and expansive windows that beckon in natural light. The spa has four treatment salons including a couple’s salon. Three of the rooms feature French doors that open to a private courtyard. There is a 500 sq ft fitness centre with separate ladies and gents shower areas, a reception and spa area to relax while sampling spa products, a relaxation room with recliner seating and a large enclosed courtyard which is also to be utilised for small yoga groups.
The debut spa offering will feature over 36 enticing treatments for clients including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, body wraps and scrubs plus bespoke experiences designed for the expectant mother, bridal parties and couples. Jennifer Ingvoldstad Spa Manager at the resort says, “My personal favourite so far is The Victoria House Signature Treatment Ritual using local brown and white sugars, coconut oil, and honey for a luxurious full body scrub followed by our soothing Victoria House Signature Relaxation Massage which incorporates Swedish Massage, essential oils, hot towels and some hot stones. We use local, natural and plant based products where possible for optimum wellbeing and relaxation.” Rooms from £153 per night.
